Michael Dixon of AEK BC was arrested this morning after a traffic accident that caused the death of 64-year-old sanitation worker.

Around 07.00 local time in Menidi, a suburb of Athens, Dixon’s car crushed with an other vehicle which was driven by a 47-year-old woman. The woman lost control and her car fatally injured a sanitation worker.

Both drivers are arrested and held by the police in order to testify for the incident. Dixon was tested for alcohol and he was found clear of any use. They are expected to be released, however they will be trialed by a local court as the prosecution against them has already begun.

UPDATE: AEK announced that Dixon was released from custody after giving his testimony about the incident.
