With five players scoring in double figures, Buducnost defeated Crvena Zvezda 89 – 86 in overtime in the game that concluded Round 20 of the ABA League regular season.
Codi Miller McIntyre had the chance possibly to win it for Zvezda in regulation but went 1-2 from the free throw line in the last seconds with the score 79 – 80. His team had erased an 8-point deficit as Buducnost led 72 – 80 with 2:55 to play.
In the extra period, McKinley Wright scored 10 points to push Buducnost toward going up 87 – 96 with 1:11 remaining, a margin large enough to secure them the road win.
Wright finished with 19 points and six assists. Rasheed Sulaimon added 17 points and Nikola Tanaskovic had 16 points and six rebounds for Buducnost.
Filip Petrusev (17 points) and Miller-McIntyre (16 points) stood out from Zvezda.
Meanwhile, Partizan Belgrade routed KK Zadar 100 – 75 behind 17 points and eight assists by Iffe Lundberg. Partizan center Tyrique Jones was ejected in the third quarter after angrily protesting a call to the referees.
