According to Walla Sport, Hapoel Tel Aviv has reached out to the ABA League with a request to join.
The league has shown openness to including teams from outside its region, such as Maccabi Tel Aviv in the past and BC Dubai from the UAE this season.
Hapoel’s main condition is that all its games in the Adriatic League be played in Israel. The club is now awaiting a response, and the league has expressed initial interest.
Such a move could help speed up the return of international games to Israel—although, as reported, that still seems unlikely, as Israeli teams and national squads continue planning to host games abroad.
