Isaac Bonga leads Partizan’s solid victory over Cluj-Napoca in ABA League

By Eurohoops/ info@eurohoops.net

The atmosphere is tense at Partizan after the departure of their biggest idol.

But at least the team keeps winning its games.

Just a few hours after their EuroLeague victory against Bayern Munich, the Belgrade side defeated Cluj-Napoca 85–92.

Despite the great atmosphere in Romania, the visitors escaped with the win thanks to a strong performance from Isaac Bonga, who posted 21 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. Duane Washington added 19 more points for the Serbian team.

Karel Guzman (20 points and 7 rebounds) and Dusan Miletic (18 points and 13 rebounds) did everything they could for the Romanian side, but it wasn’t enough.

Despite a poor start to the game, with the home team’s lead reaching as much as ten points at 24–14,  Partizan took control in the second quarter.

In the second half, the visitors’ lead grew to 12 at 46-58, and from that point on Partizan focused on managing the advantage, which they did without much trouble.
