Crvena zvezda and Sasa Obradovic will not be collaborating next season, nor in the remainder of this one, the Serbian team announced a few days ago.
By the end of the season, Zvezda still faces the Final Four of the national championship, which begins on Friday in Nis, where the red and whites will try to secure their second trophy of the season, after the Radivoj Korac Cup. However, it will not be Obradovic leading them, but Milan Tomic.
While it has been known for some time that Obradovic left Belgrade, Zvezda issued another statement on this matter, confirming that they have mutually terminated the contract with their former coach.
This means they will not have any financial obligations towards him in the next season. Additionally, in the public statement, Zvezda once again thanked Obradovic.
“KK Crvena zvezda Meridianbet informs the public that club president Zeljko Drcelic has reached an agreement with our former head coach Sasa Obradovic on a mutual termination of his contract.
According to this agreement, as of the conclusion of his work with our club, KK Crvena zvezda Meridianbet will have no financial obligations towards Sasa Obradovic.
On this occasion, the club and president Zeljko Drcelic would like once again to thank our now former head coach for his commitment, dedication, and energy he invested as the coach of Crvena zvezda, and for the agreement reached regarding the mutual termination of the contract.
KK Crvena zvezda Meridianbet will duly inform the public about any further steps exclusively and only through the club’s official platforms.”
Crvena zvezda finished the EuroLeague season in tenth place, after which they were defeated in the Play-in by Barcelona
