Crvena Zvezda MTS Belgrade recorded another easy win in the ABA League as they prevailed over Zadar at home. An offensive festival by Zvezda propelled them to a blowout win 97-76.That was their fifth straight victory as they are on top of the standings with a 17-3 record after 20 weeks of action.
The visiting team was an equal opponent only in the first quarter which they lost 22-19 after leading by 4 midway through the first period. After that, it was one-sided game for the hosts as they turned on “Cruise control”.
At the end of the first half, Zvezda had double-digit lead (47-36), but they didn’t stop there. After the third quarter, Zvezda extends their lead up to 25 points (75-50) ending all the hopes for Zadar.
Mathias Lessort and James Feldeine were partners in a crime tonight scoring 13 and 14 points respectively. The big man from France added 4 boards, while Feldeine had 4 assists.
Kristijan Krajina’s 16 points didn’t mean much to Zadar as they are now standing on a 9-11 record.
On Saturday Petrol Olimpija eliminated Partizan from the Play-Offs race with a win in Ljubljana.
