Barcelona is interested in hosting the 12-team tournament that is planned to conclude the Spanish ACB League season, Cataluyna Radio reports.

Gran Canaria and Andorra have also expressed official interest in holding the last stage of the 2019-2020 season.  ACB will have to make a decision no later than May 31 on whether to hold the tournament with the top 12 teams in the standings at the moment of the league’s suspension.

Barcelona was reported to be willing to choose to play in EuroLeague instead of ACB if there’s a conflict of the end-season schedules of the two competitions.  ACB’s tournament is projected to be completed the latest on the 31st of July while EuroLeague’s own planned dates (4-26) to finish the season. The deadline for EuroLeague’s decision on whether the season will be completed is set on May 24.
