Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced that teams of professional leagues can begin holding individual practices on May 4.

“Individual training sessions and basic training in professional leagues will be allowed,” Sanchez said in a declaration where he announced the “phases” during which coronavirus measures in Spain will begin to be lifted.

The whole procedure will begin with “Phase 0” on Monday, May 4. After two weeks, “Phase 1” will be launched and will include the opening of “high-performance facilities” and the start of “medium-level training of professional league teams.”

The ACB has set May 31 as the deadline for deciding whether a 12-tournament will be held for the completion of the Spanish League season. The tournament should be finished no later than July 31.
