Real Madrid got the 97-88 win over Zaragoza, but couldn’t celebrate. After Valencia’s win, the “Whites” were already out of the Spanish league semifinals, leaving Valencia, Barcelona, Baskonia, and Burgos to fight for the title.

Edy Tavares with 22 points and Facundo Campazzo with 17 tried their best in order to at least end the season on a high note and they delivered the win. On top of that, Campazzo’s last shot for the season will be remembered.

It’s the first time since 2008 that Real Madrid missed the semifinals of the Spanish Liga Endesa.

On Sunday, Barcelona will face Burgos and Valencia will have to beat Baskonia for a place in the final. The tournament is held without fans due to COVID-19 measures at the home court of Valencia and it remains to be seen in the knock-out phase if that will give an advantage to the hosts.
