One week after shocking the world in Kaunas with the two-pointer that gave Real Madrid the win against Olympiacos and the 11th EuroLeague in the club’s history, Sergio Llull wrote that history once again. The 35-year-old Spanish veteran just became Real Madrid‘s leading scorer in the ACB.

With a three-pointer to give Real Madrid the 25-point lead in the last minutes of the second quarter against Gran Canaria, in Game 1 of the ACB Quarter-Finals between the EuroLeague and EuroCup champions, Sergio Llull overcame Felipe Reyes in this special ranking, crossing the line of 6.019 points.

Moreover, with another shot from beyond the arc later on, he became only the first-ever Real Madrid player to score 900 three-pointers, and the 4th in doing so in the history of the Spanish league.

Llull began his professional career with Real Madrid in 2005 and has played for the club ever since. He is considered one of the greatest Spanish basketball players of his generation.

Throughout his career, Llull has won numerous domestic and international titles with Real Madrid. He has helped the team win the Spanish Liga ACB multiple times and has been a key contributor to their success in the EuroLeague, more recently making the winning shot in 2023 Final against Olympiacos.

Llull has also represented the Spanish national team on multiple occasions. He has won several medals with the Spanish national team, including gold at the FIBA EuroBasket in 2009 and 2011, as well as silver at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and bronze at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Llull has been a long-time player for Real Madrid, and he has repeatedly expressed his loyalty and commitment to the team. Despite receiving interest from NBA teams, particularly the Houston Rockets, Llull has chosen to remain in Spain.
