Real Madrid wrapped up the ACB regular season with a road win over Casademont Zaragoza, completing a perfect 18-0 run in the second half of the season.
Chus Mateo’s side prevailed 104-89 and enters the Playoffs as the top-seeded team, finishing the campaign with just four defeats in 34 rounds.
Mario Hezonja led the charge with 23 points, Hugo Gonzalez followed with 14, while Alberto Abalde and Andres Feliz contributed 13 points each. Eli Ndiaye also finished in double digits with 11 points, and Bruno Fernando added nine points and seven rebounds.
For Zaragoza, Emir Sulejmanovic scored 20 points, Santi Yusta added 18, Trae Bell-Haynes had 15, and Nate Watson chipped in with 14 points.
The reigning champs will face Baskonia in the Quarterfinals, after Pablo Laso’s team closed out the regular season with a 105-101 road win over Leyma Coruña, which will be relegated to the second tier along with Granada.
Chima Moneke and Nikos Rogkavopoulos led Baskonia with 16 points each, followed by Markus Howard with 14, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot with 13, Sander Raieste with 12, and Donta Hall, who posted a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. The win marked Baskonia’s 19th of the regular season.
On the other side, Coruña bowed out with 18 points from Karlis Silins, while Beka Burjanadze and Aleix Font had 13 points each, and Alonzo Verge added 12.
Barcelona also secured a road win in Round 34, defeating Bilbao 85-68 to finish the regular season at 21-13 — good enough for fifth place and a Quarterfinal matchup with Unicaja, albeit without home-court advantage.
With Alex Abrines ruled out at the last moment, Kevin Punter led Joan Peñarroya’s team with 15 points. Dario Brizuela and Jabari Parker followed with 12 each, while Willy Hernangómez added 11 points and seven rebounds.
