Pau Ribas had previously announced that this season would be his last, and tonight he played his final game at the Olímpic, closing an exceptional career where it all began.
Joventut’s captain received a warm farewell from the stands, as emotions took center stage on a night that was more about tribute than competition. It was a quiet, heartfelt goodbye to one of Joventut’s icons.
The game itself ended with a clear 60–80 win for La Laguna Tenerife, who advanced from the quarterfinal series with a 2–0 score. Despite missing Marcelinho Huertas, the visitors dominated the second half, led by Bruno Fitipaldo with 23 points and 4 assists.
🥺 ¡La OVACIÓN del Olímpic a PAU RIBAS!
Pueden haber sido los últimos minutos de @PauRibas con @Penya1930 ante su afición, y creo que ninguno estamos preparados para esto.

Dotson (20 points) and Tomic (12 points, 9 rebounds) kept Joventut in it for a while, and the team led by one at halftime. But Tenerife took control after the break, while Penya’s poor outside shooting (3/22 from three) left them no chance.
Ricky Rubio was in the stands, witnessing the end of an era. For Joventut, it was less about the loss and more about honoring Ribas and offering minutes to the next generation.
