Rio Breogan has secured the services of 24-year-old Danko Brankovic from FC Bayern Munich.

The deal was announced by both clubs on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old Croatian center is moving his talents to Spain’s Liga Endesa, starting from the next season, following 51 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games with Bayern over the last two years. In the 2024-25 installment of Europe’s premier club continental competition, he tallied 4.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, 0.5 blocks, 0.3 steals, and 0.2 assists per contest, lasting just over nine minutes per game over 26 appearances.

A similar limited role in the easyCredit BBL produced 4.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, 0.7 blocks, 0.2 assists, and 0.2 steals per game over 30 appearances for the team coached by Gordon Herbert during the 2024-25 edition of Germany’s top-flight division. Over the last two years with the team based in Munich, he was featured in 54 games of the domestic league en route to two BBL championships. He was also part of winning the BBL-Pokal in 2024.

The Zagreb native originally joined Bayern in 2022, penning a long-term contract, and was loaned to Mega MIS for the 2022-23 season.

Coming out of the youth division of Cibona, he debuted with the senior team in 2020, before a loan assignment to Dubrava Fornir.

Representing Croatia at the international level, his run was upgraded from the junior to the senior level during the Qualifiers of the FIBA World Cup 2023. Last summer’s FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Piraeus and FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers produced additional caps for Brankovic.
