Gabriel Deck hit the winning free throws with 21 seconds to play as Real Madrid beat La Laguna Tenerife 72 – 71 to advance to the 2025 Spanish ACB SuperCup Final.
This was the first game for Deck in five months. The Argentinian forward delivered 12 points.
Sergio Llull had 12 points as well for Real Madrid, scoring six over the last four minutes. The Blancos were down 35 – 49 early in the third period before coming back in the game in the fourth quarter when Llull made it 66 – 65.
The game remained close until the last moments. After Deck’s free throws, Jaime Fernandez missed in his 3-point attempt to win the game and Real will have the chance to win the title for the first time after 2023.
Giorgi Shermadini (23 points) and Marcelinho Huertas (14 points) led Tenerife.
Real Madrid guard Theo Maledon exited the game in the first period due to an adductor problem after spending just two minutes on the floor. The French guard had been sidelined indefinitely due to an injury in the same spot earlier in September.
In the other semifinal, Valencia defeated Unicaja Malaga 93 – 87 behind 20 points and six rebounds by newcomer Omari Moore.
