Unicaja prevailed on the road against Valencia (76-70) in one of the biggest upsets in the last few weeks of the Spanish Liga Endesa.
After a close first half, coach Ibon Navarro’s team dominated the third quarter with a partial score of 21-12, taking the lead and securing the win against one of the EuroLeague leaders.
For Unicaja, Chase Audige (20 p.) led the way, while Nate Reuvers (13 p.) was the top scorer for Valencia, which registered its first home defeat in the Spanish league this season.
A bit earlier, Zaragoza got the home win (95-84) against Dreamland Gran Canaria. Devin Robinson was the top scorer for the local team with 18 points.
Surne Bilbao dominated UCAM Murcia (96-82). Harald Frey (24) and Justin Jaworski (22) were the top scorers in the third straight defeat for Sito Alonso’s team in the Spanish competition.
Hiopos Lleida got one of the biggest night in its career with the win on the road against Tenerife (87-94). James Batemon pushed the team in the fourth quarter. They’re trying to escape the bottom of the league (6-9).
In the last game of the day, BAXI Manresa dominated Río Breogán (104-99). Retin Obasohan was the top scorer with 32 points, 21 in the first half.
