Paolo Galbiati reserved special praise for Sergio Scariolo, the coach of Real Madrid, who Baskonia will face in the Copa del Rey final.
Even ahead of the decisive matchup, Galbiati emphasized Scariolo’s mastery and influence on European basketball, as well as his own development as a coach.
“He’s top three among European coaches in history. He’s a master,” Galbiati said.
Galbiati also reflected on his formative years at Olimpia Milano, where he worked in the youth setup while Scariolo coached the senior team — a period that left a lasting impression on him.
“When his career is over, he will be remembered as one of the best.”
