The BCL team easily defeated Valencia Basket at home

Saturday’s ACB action brought a pleasant surprise in Tenerife. BCL easily defeated Valencia Basket after a strong first half.

Thomas Scrubb (16 p.) and Van Beck (14 p.) were the top scorers for the local squad. Patty Mills, who arrived in Tenerife today, has not yet been able to make her debut with the Spanish BCL team. Pradilla scored 17 points for Valencia.

Tenerife absolutely dominated Valencia in the first half. Vidorreta’s team punished them from beyond the arc before halftime (48-28). Although Valencia tried to react before the break, Pedro Martínez’s team lacked the necessary accuracy to take the lead.

The Euroleague team reduced the gap before the fourth quarter (64-48), but couldn’t complete the comeback and get away with the win on the road (89-71).

In Saturday’s first game, Unicaja secured a comfortable victory against Casademont Zaragoza to move to 15-7 in the standings. Kendrick Perry (22 p.) and Chase Audige (17 p.) were Ibon Navarro’s team’s top scorers.

David DeJulius (17 p.) led another UCAM Murcia win in the spanish competition. Sito Alonso’s team got the job done against Gran Canaria at home.

In Saturday’s final game, Surne Bilbao defeated Río Breogán at home after a great final quarter. Darrun Hilliard (21 p.) and Hlinason (17 p.) were the top scorers for Ponsarnau’s team.
