Valencia Basket bounced back from their Final Four defeat by beating Zaragoza just four days later (86-98).
After losing to Real Madrid in the semifinals of the Athens tournament, Pedro Martínez’s team regained its momentum with a much-needed victory, bringing its record level with UCAM Murcia, Baskonia, and Barça (23-9).
In a game decided in the final minutes, Valencia Basket capitalized on Kam Taylor’s excellent form (18 points) to leave Zaragoza with an important victory. Valencia players complained about the tough schedule after their elimination against Real Madrid in the Final Four.
Earlier, the remaining second half of the Joventut-Unicaja game from Round 29 was played, with Dani Miret’s team winning decisively (95-74). Ibon Navarro’s team was unable to turn the game around in just 20 minutes.
