After a spectacular month in the Spanish league, MoraBanc Andorra’s Giorgi Shermadini has been named the January MVP, his first monthly award in the ACB ever.
The Georgian center’s statistics in Andorra’s 4 games this past month are quite impressive. A double double of 21 points, 15 rebounds and an evaluation of 41 against Real Madrid, another one with 22 points and 11 rebounds and an evaluation of 33 against Real Betis. He added 17 points and 7 rebounds against Gran Canaria, while he scored 12 points in his team’s loss to Joventut.
With these performances, Shermadini is third in the ACB league rankings, with an average of 20.5 points and only behind Ante Tomic and Edwin Jackson.
