During Martins Laksa’s presentation on Wednesday, Mateo mentioned that the ACB League is “clearly divided into two blocks”, due to pressure from the EuroLeague.
More precisely, and as mentioned on Mundo Deportivo, the Obradoiro GM stated: “This league has been motivated mainly by Euroleague. There are clearly different interests in every sense, especially when it comes to the calendar.”
Mateo recognized that the Spanish league is going through “tough moments”, a result of the FIBA-EuroLeague conflict: “This war irremediably affects the national championship.”
