Miguel Angel Perez Perez talked about the Copa del Rey Final between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona Lassa. In an interview to La Voz de Galicia, Perez, one of the referees of the contest, acknowledged that mistakes were made in the controversial ending, but pointed out that they were human mistakes.

“The sad reality, which is undeniable, is that we were wrong at the key moment of the game. We made two human mistakes. At the time I though we were right” he said and added: “I don’t feel guilty about anything, I feel responsible. To feel guilty you must have had bad intentions”.

The referees then looked like they got it wrong determining a goaltending violation by Anthony Randolph to eventually count the winning bucket for Ante Tomic and Barcelona, missed a call on Chris Singleton as well. Following the Copa del Rey final, Real Madrid examined a possible exit from Spanish competitions.
