Baskonia beat San Pablo Burgos behind a superb all-around performance by Luca Vildoza.

Luca Vildoza came two rebounds shy of the triple-double to lead Baskonia to an 87 – 79 win over bottom-placed San Pablo Burgos in a game for Round 32 of the Spanish ACB League.

In the 34:30 minutes he spent on the floor, Vildoza scored 16 points, dished out 11 assists and grabbed eight rebounds for a game-high 23 PIR.

Patito Garino scored 19 points for Baskonia while Vincent Poirier added 15 points plus seven rebounds and Shavon Shields 15 points. The Basque side had to play minus captain Tornike Shengelia in the second half since the Georgian player was forced to exit the game following a bloody injury.

Goran Huskic had 18 points plus five boards and Branden Frazier 15 points for Burgos.

This result improves Baskonia to 25 – 7 and keeps them at the second place in the standings. Burgos is 9 – 22.
