After MoraBanc Andorra was eliminated from the ACB Playoffs, Andrew Albicy announced he won’t extend his tenure with the Spanish side. He joined Andorra in 2016 and signed a two-year extension one year later.

“I won’t stay with Andorra” he said following Sunday’s loss to Unicaja Malaga and added: “I will always hold this team close to my heart. It’s not a goodbye, but a see you soon. Some day I may return. It’s certain our paths will cross in the future and it will be a pleasure.”

Albicy finished his third ACB campaign with 8.3 points and 5.2 dimes per contest. He previously averaged 12.1 points and 5.9 assists in twenty 2018-19 7DAYS EuroCup matches.

Up next for him might be LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne that will participate in the 2019-20 EuroLeague season. Last March, Tony Parker, the French team’s president, disclosed his side’s interest for adding Albicy.
