Vasilis Spanoulis talked to Croatian television during the Zadar tournament and demonstrated his respect towards the great late Drazen Petrovic.

As he said after calling Tony Kukoc a legend: “I didn’t have the chance to see Drazen playing basketball, I was just nine years old when he died (1993). Still I have seen his games in videotapes and also in the internet. I can say for him that he was an amazing player with a tremendous talent. He was unique and I am sorry for what happened, he died so young. Basketball is poor without Drazen Petrovic. He is  a European basketball legend. The way he played made the sport more beautiful for the audience”.
