Both Bayern Munich and ALBA Berlin returned to German League action with wins and both results came in the very last moments of their games against MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg and MLP Academics Heidelberg.

Maodo Lo made the start by hitting the buzzer-beating floater that gave ALBA an 83 – 81 victory on the road. The German guard finished with 12 points, nine rebounds and six assists overall, few days after registering a new EuroLeague career-high vs. CSKA Moscow.

Ben Lammers had 15 points plus five rebounds, Luis Olinde posted 13 points and five boards while Luke Sikma finished with 11 points for ALBA that climbed to 7 – 4 and the fourth spot in the standings . Rob Lowery (19 points, seven assists) and Brekkott Chapman (18 points, five boards) were the best Heidelberg had to offer. Their team is now 14th at 4-8.

Meanwhile in Munich, DeShaun Thomas drained a mid-range jumper with two seconds to play as Bayern beat Ludwigsburg 79 – 78. Andreas Obst dropped 18 points, Augustine Rubit finished with 16 points and six rebounds while Corey Walden and Vladimir Lucic scored 10 apiece. Thomas had nine points.

Two days after turning 40 years old, veteran Tremmel Darden led Ludwigsburg in scoring with 18 points. Jonah Radebaugh had 15 points.

Top-placed Bayern improved to 10-2 while Ludwigsburg, now eighth, dropped to 7-5.
