Both Alba Berlin and FC Bayern Munich secure road wins in Germany’s easyCredit BBL

A couple of days after losing to CSKA Moscow at Russia’s capital, Alba Berlin held on to beat Telekom Baskets Bonn, 89-77, and make its way up to 12-5 in the easyCredit BBL Regular Season.

Luke Sikma logged a 12-point, 10-assist double-double to go along with eight rebounds. Christ Koumadje posted a 12-point, 12-rebound double-double in the German league’s Round 20 matchup held Sunday. Yovel Zoosman added a season-high 18 points. Ben Lammers and Marcus Eriksson were sidelined.

The hosts dropped to 14-6 despite Arizona product Parker Jackson-Cartwright dropping a game-high 20 points plus ten assists.

Earlier, FC Bayern Munich dominated overtime to defeat Basketball Lowen Braunschweig, 91-82. Deshaun Thomas paved the way with 25 points, including five points in the 14-5 sprint over the five extra minutes. Former Bayern guard David Kramer had a team-high 22 points for the team owned by NBA star Dennis Schroder.

Despite Vladimir Lucic and Augustine Rubit being held out alongside Darrun Hilliard, Nihad Djedovic, and Paul Zipser, Andrea Trinchieri’s team improved its league-leading record to 15-4 forcing the hosts down to 8-11.

Before visiting Hapoel U-NET Holon in Basketball Champions League Round of 16 Gameday 3 action Wednesday, MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg jumped to 13-6 at the domestic level after securing the away win, 80-71, opposite the Fraport Skyliners. Elsewhere, Cameron Hunt sinking a free throw separated s.Oliver Wurzburg from Brose Bamberg, 90-89.
