ALBA Berlin prevailed with 97-85 and got a 2-0 lead in the German BBL playoffs over Brose Bamberg. The Berliners need one more win to qualify for the semifinals.

ALBA led even by 21 points with Jalen Smith scoring 18 points and Maodo Lo adding 16. The next game is scheduled for 19/5 in Bamberg.

Bonn also has a 2-0 lead over Hamburg thanks to an 89-81 win behind 41 points by phenomenal guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright.

MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg defended their home court, even after two overtimes for the 104-99 win over Ulm. Despite the defeat in Game 1, Jaron Blossomgame stole the show with 41 points for the losing side.

In the meantime, FC Bayern Munich managed to jump ahead with a 2-0 lead over Chemnitz after grabbing a 93-76 victory at home Sunday.

Deshaun Thomas and Nick Weiler-Babb got the job done for Andrea Trinchieri’s squad, scoring 15 and 13 points respectively, while Andreas Obst tapped 10 points.

Mindaugas Susinskas and Nelson Weidemann each had 9 points for Chemnitz, which will now look to avoid a sweep when the series travels back to their homecourt for Game 3 (May 20, 20:30 CET).
