After two road wins in Berlin, ratiopharm Ulm defeated Alba at home in Game 4 of the German BBL quarterfinals 83-81 and advanced to the semis, eliminating defending champions 3-1 in the series.
Yago dos Santos led Anton Gavel’s side to a great victory with 16 points, five rebounds, and assists, while his fellow Brazilian teammate Bruno Caboclo, hero of Game 3, finished the match with 14 points and four rebounds.
Philipp Herkenhoff and Karim Jallow added 14 points each as Ulm progressed to face Bayern Munich in the semifinals.
Jaleen Smith was once again the top scorer of Alba with 18 points, but just Malte Dellow followed with 15 points.
The Ulm – Bayern semifinal series winner will meet Telekom Baskets Bonn or Riesen Ludwigsburg in the grand final.
