Wrapping up the Quarterfinals of Germany’s easyCredit BBL Playoffs, FC Bayern Munich held on to defeat MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg, 76-69, in MHP Arena on Friday night.

After losing Game 1 of a best-of-five series, the team coached by Pablo Laso bounced back with three wins in a row and placed in the Semifinals. Potentially building on the BBL-Pokal trophy in February, Bayern is six wins away from doubling up domestic titles for the 2023-24 campaign.

Taking over in the fourth quarter, Carsen Edwards went up to a game-high 22 points, behind 5/9 field goals. Devin Booker added 13 points and eight rebounds. Nick Weiler-Babb (calf) and Sylvain Francisco (knee) remained on the injury list.

The hosts were limited to chasing mode throughout Game 4 but almost came back from an 11-point deficit in the fourth period. Eddy Edigin posted a 15-point, 14-rebound double-double in the last team outing of the season.

Earlier, Wurzburg Baskets eliminated defending BBL champion ratiopharm Ulm. A home win, 75-72, ended the series in Game 4. Zac Seljaas recorded a game-high 19 points in Tectake Arena.
