This time Ratiopharm Ulm protected its home-court appropriately against Ludwigsburg to move on step closer towards the German league semifinals.

Per Gunther and Chris Babb combined for 41 points as Ratiopharm Ulm defeated Ludwigsburg 87 – 76 making the 2 – 1 in the playoff series.

The German point guard dropped 21 points while Babb had 20 along with 6 rebounds. August Rubit with 16 points and Raymar Morgan with 15 completed the winning equation for coach Thorsten Liebenath’s squad.

With Jake Cooley (24 points, 8 rebounds), Roderick Trice (17 points) and DJ Kennedy (14 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists) doing work, Ludwigsburg was leading 48 – 49 in the mid of the third period. But their opponents rallied to close the quarter up 62 – 54 and never looked back afterwards.
