Things were not that easy for Ulm which got the 86-79 win over feisty EWE Oldenburg behind 26 points by Chris Babb.
However the really impressive result was the 82-59 win of the defending champs over Bayern Munich. After some off nights at the end of the regular season, Brose Bamberg turned it up again as Fabien Causer led a balanced offensive effort with 16 points.
Still, it was all about defense as Devin Booker with 15 points was the only scorer in double digits for the guests.
