The fine tuning of CSKA Moscow‘s roster continued with Theo Papaloukas being registered both in Euroleague and in the Russian league, while Dionte Christmas lost his place in the roster. The announcement was made just before the deadline for Euroleague transactions expired. As coach Ettore Messina said: “We appreciate Dionte’s effort, his abilities and everything he gave us in these months with the team. The reason why we made the change is because we think we need a different structure of the team and Papaloukas can bring us what we feel we need at this moment”.

Also in Turkey, Besiktas added small forward Ricky Minard from Virtus Bologna, who is expected to take the place of point guard Curtis Jerrells in the roster. The situation with Jerrells is still unclear, he remains registered by the team in Euroleague but according to reports from Turkey he is on the exit door and not expected to remain with the team.

The only team that was active in the market and could not get a deal in order to boost its roster in Euroleague seems to be former champion Panathinaikos. The Greeks didn’t get Antonis Fotsis from Armani Milano, although his return in Athens this summer seems to be more than possible.
