Evan Fournier, the next great French hope, stole the show in the award night of LNB with two trophies and a last minute decision to appear in Paris and not to travel to US because of his ankle injury

Fabien Causeur of Cholet and Blake Schilb of Chalon-sur-Saône won the French and foreigner MVP title, although the award show of LNB league on Friday night was stolen by Evan Fournier of Poitiers. The 19 years old NBA draft bound player won two awards, as the most improved player of the league and, of course, as the best young player.

His appearance in the awards ceremony was kind of an accident. He was supposed to be in the NBA draft combine, but he injured his ankle on the last game day of French league’s regular season and he stayed in Europe. Andrew Albicy, the leader of Gravelines that finished first in the standings, won the best defender award and Gregor Beugnot of Chalon was named the best coach of the league.
