Brazilian Lucas Nogueira one year after being drafted with the 16th overall pick, is leaving Liga Endesa and Estudiantes for the Toronto Raptors. The NBA team announced his signing and according to the rookie salary scale his contract is a three years deal for a total of 3,5 m. dollars.
Nogueira was rumored to be also on Barcelona’s radar which is about to sign an other NBA draftee, Tibor Pleiss. As for his buy out from Estudiantes, it’s reportedly 800.000 USD dollars. From this number, the Raptors are allowed according to NBA rules to pay 600.000 dollars and the rest will come out from the player’s pocket.
