Galatasaray will travel to Belgrade on Friday, the same day in which the Top16 game against Crvena Zvezda will be played, under heavy security measures by both Serbian and Turkish authorities, as it was decided today by Euroleague and both sides.

According to Greek portal sportit.gr which is citing sources from Istanbul, even the possibility of holding the two Top16 games between the two teams without fans was under question. However all involved sides decided that it’s better for fans to be allowed to attend the game, even after the tragic incident in Istanbul. The sale of the tickets will start tomorrow. Τhe president of Galatasaray and Coach Ergin Ataman will also be present in the game, despite the tension that his infamous quotes about “terrorists” created.

Everyone’s wish for Friday’s game is this match up to be only about basketball and nothing more.
