On the night that Kyrie Irving’s 57 points show overshadowed everything else in the NBA, Rudy Gobert had his own big game. The French center led Utah in the 109-91 win over the Rockets, finishing the game with 19 points, 22 rebounds, 12 of them offensive, and four blocks.

He had a double double from the first quarter (10 p., 10 r.) and he is emerging as one of the best young centers in the league. There are also some good news about injured Sergey Karasev. The Russian guard underwent surgery on his right knee on Thursday in New York and he is missing the rest of the season with the Nets, due to a dislocated patella and a torn MCL along with multiple loose bodies in the knee joint. Still in Russia there’s hope that the player will be ready to go in the upcoming Eurobasket 2015 and he will make his return on the court as a member of the national team.
