One of fantasy’s unwritten rules is that it’s ‘forbidden’ for someone to select more than three players from one team. However, many CSKA players are in top form and we are going to select three of those as the base for our team at the start of the playoffs.

The most unpredictable part of the game was completed with the close of the Top 16, but from here on out the continuation of the fantasy challenge is extremely hard, since it’s the players’ goal to avoid players-traps, that is, those players that are popular but don’t have the best games. The battle for the winner’s prize in the Eurohoops league is raging and at the end of this article you can see the list with the first 20 on the score table up to this point in the season.

Most players have gathered many credits, so now the selection of players is not being made according to their cost anymore, but the predicition regarding how good a game they will have. In the point guard position any one of Teodosic, Llull, Rodriguez, is ideal and we selected the first two purely out of instinct.

Along the perimeter, no one cannot include in their selections Andrei Kirilenko after the amazing finish he had in the Top 16, and Devin Smith as well who is in a wickedly good form. Nemanja Bjelica is always reliable and against Maccabi he will surely provide points in every section, while we also trust Andrew Goudelock’s killer instinct, who in Fenerbahce’s last two games has a score of 26 and 27!

For the frontline it’s a risk to make a selection of a third player from CSKA, a team that has a full line of bigmen. However, Panathinaikos is expected to use Esteban Batista extensively and the best player to match him up with is Sasha Kaun. Aside from them, we are going to rely on Barcelona’s driving force, Ante Tomic, but also Nenad Krstic was is in good form. Our bet for this round is Alex Tyus, a player who is not so popular but who is extremely effective in crucial games. He’ll most likely get some playing time and against Fenerbahce he can do some damage.

Enjoy fantasy!
