The parade of NBA teams officials continues in Greece, as Giannis Adetokunbo seems to be one of the hottest NBA prospects in Europe. A representative of Utah Jazz was present in the junior league game of the 18 years old Philathlitikos player against Panathinaikos on Monday, 1st of April, and on Wednesday, 3rd of April, Adetokunbo will be playing with the senior team in front of a well known NBA figure.

Danny Ainge, the president of Boston Celtics, together with assistant general manager Ryan McDonough will travel to the Greek city of Volos (327 klm north of Athens) in order to see the road game of Philathlitikos against the local team named Niki for the second division. A win for Filathlitikos will be a big step towards the Greek first division, it’s an important match up and an important person will be among the crowd.

Many others have already visited Greece and the son of Ainge, Austin, who is also Celtics director of player personnel, has already scout personally Adetokunbo. Of course the player will enter the draft and it’s expected that he will not withdraw his name.

UPDATE: Filathliticos beat Niki Volou 75-70, Adetokunbo had 19 points, 9 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 blocks and Ainge was taking his notes from a courtside seat between the scorers table and the guets’ bench. When the home team lost, its fans start curshing at the winners and also at Ainge. They thought he was someone affiliated with Filathliticos. When they were informed who he was, they started shouting at him that everyone in Volos is a fan of the Lakers.
