The talent pool of Greek basketball is far from getting dry. Last year Giannis Antetokounmpo emerged out of nowhere and now he amazes with his potentials the NBA. This time the new name which is suddenly turning heads is Georgos Tsalmpouris. The 18 years old player of Pierikos BC – a third division team – who is already a seven footer reminds to many the playing style of a young Tony Kukoc, since his body is also skinny, maybe too skinny, but he is also a lefty with a great shooting touch even from the three points range.

That’s why in last week’s game between Aigaleo BC and Pierikos, the assistant coaches of Panathinaikos and Olympiacos were in the gym and scouted him. For Panathinaikos Dimitris Priftis and Nikos Pappas were present and for Olympiacos Vaggelis Koutsokeras.

The talent of the young player can’t be denied, however he still has a long way to go, so nobody can predict how he will turn out to be in the future.

His agent, Tasos Delibaltakis, wants to see him signed in a “big” team, in order to work properly, get better skills and also build his body.

You can see him and what he can do at this point in Eurohoops’ two videos.

UPDATE: We were send by “Deltasports” highlights of the young forward and we present them to you.
