North Macedonia won’t be stepping on the court in the November window of the EuroBasket Qualifiers due to coronavirus positives among its members

After a number of positive tests to COVID-19 among the North Macedonia team members, FIBA decided to postpone both of its games – vs. Italy and Estonia – in the November window of the EuroBasket Qualifiers.

Per FIBA:

Following the Covid-19 Protocol for FIBA Official National Team and Club Competitions and the advice of its Medical Commission, FIBA has decided to postpone both North Macedonia FIBA EuroBasket 2022 Qualifiers games scheduled to take place in November to the February 2021 window.

Additional tests were performed yesterday, and with the health and safety of payers, coaches and officials the primary consideration, the decision was made to postpone both North Macedonia’s November window games against Italy and Estonia to February 2021.

FIBA will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and communicate any further updates regarding its competitions if necessary.
