As the preparation for Eurobasket 2015 are under way, there are already teams which prove that they can be competitives in the upcoming tournament and some are already in trouble.

Οn Friday at Riga, the hosts of Group D, Latvia got the close 84-82 win over Poland. Dairis Bertans with 24 points led the winners, while naturalized guard A.J.Slaughter had 14 points for Poland.

FYROM prevailed at home over Israel (75-58) on Friday as Aleksandar Kostovski scored 14 points. Captain Omri Casspi had 10 points for Israel, which is missing half of its back court due to injuries. Both Yotam Halperin and Yogev Ohayon are expected to miss the Eurobasket.

Iceland started its prep games also on Friday with a 80-55 win over Holland, which so far after five games with Italy, Germany, Austria and Belgium has in total five defeats. Two players from the Spanish Liga Endesa, Haukur Helgi Palsson with 23 points and Jon Stefansson with 15 were the leaders of the winners.

Bosnia and Georgia played behind closed doors two games in Croatia with Bosnia getting on Thursday the 82-67 win (D. Persic 16 p.) as naturalized Alex Renfroe made his debut with the team and Georgia winning 78-73 on Wednesday (Tsintsadze 13 p., Markoishvili 13 p.).
