After a great game, Slovenia got the 98-97 overtime win over Poland, having five double digits scorers. Marcin Gortat had a monster game for the losing side which was not enough.
The prep game between the two sides could have ended in regulation (84-84), but Zoran Dragic missed the last shot. Still he and Jaka Balazic with a 12-0 run decided the outcoming in overtime.
Gortat finished the game with 24 points (7/9 2p., 10/11 FT) and 8 rebounds, while naturalized guard A.J.Slaughter added 12 points. .
