The hosts of Group D of the upcoming Eurobasket 2015 proved once again that they have real ambitions. Latvia beat Slovenia 72-66 with Zanis Peiners scoring 19 points for the winners.
Dairis Bertans with 16 points was the only other double digits scorer of the winners in a game in which the tone was set in the first quarter, when Latvia got a 23-10 lead. Slovenia tried, but couldn’t cover the lost ground. Zoran Dragic with 14 points was the top scorer of the losing side.
