Serbia remained unbeaten in the “group of death” after getting the easy 93-64 win over Iceland. Coach Aleksander Djordjevic had the chance to rest his key players, but his bench took the chance and made the most of it.

Nemanja Nedovic was the top scorer of the winners with 15 points and Ognen Kuzmic added 11 points and 3 assists. Starting center Miroslav Raduljica, a teammate of Kuzmic in the upcoming season in Panathinaikos also under coach Djordjevic, had 13 points and 3 rebounds. Iceland’s front line simply couldn’t match the talent and quality of the Serbs.

Veteran shooting guard Logi Gunnarsson was the only double digits scorer of Iceland with 18 points. The losing side tried its best, tried to keep up in the second quarter, but that was just they best they could do.
