After Vassilis Spanoulis, Giannis Bourousis and Nikos Zisis decided also to retire from the Greek national team. This Eurobasket was the last big tournament for the 32-year-old center and the 33-year-old guard who will not play again in the national team.
Bourousis started playing in the Greek team in Eurobasket 2005, Zisis in 2004 and all together with Vassilis Spanoulis finished their career after this Eurobasket.
