Blake Schilb and Jan Vesely – alongside of course Tomas Satoransky – led the Czech Republic to the 7th place of the final Eurobasket 2015 standings, qualified for the pre-Olympic tournament and now they are rivals!
Schilb and Vesely will travel to Istanbul in a few days, as they are players of Galatasaray and Fenerbahce respectively. They will reunite next summer for the pre-Olympic tournament, but for now they will be opponents, representing two of the biggest Turkish clubs.
“It’s going to be strange”, admitted Schilb, ” but we are friends, we will be probably seeing each other a lot in Istanbul and we will be ready for next summer even if we will be opponents during the season on the court”. As for Vesely he added: “I will probably speak with coach Obradovic tonight or tomorrow and I am ready for an exciting season. The next summer is still far away. I have to focus now to the upcoming season with Fenerbahce“.
