Vassilis Spanoulis announced his decision to retire from the international basketball and the whole “basketball world” discusses about it. Gentile and Gallinari were the last two who are added to the group of people who bowed to his value.
Alessandro Gentile said on OTE TV: “Spanoulis is my idol. If I were Greek, I would cry all night. I am a huge fan of him and when I heard his decision, I shivered”.
Danillo Gallinari followed by saying: “He’s among the best All-time players in Europe, not only amog the active players. It is always nice to watch him playing and it was also nice for Greece to have him as a leader. He’s an example for everybody and especialy the young players”.
