Indiana Pacers‘ Daniel Theis due to workload management, Boston Celtics‘ Danilo Gallinari due to a right ankle injury, and Nemanja Nedovic due to a muscle hematoma are expected to miss the Hamburg Supercup, the last preparation tournament for Germany, Italy, and Serbia.
While in all cases there doesn’t seem to be a danger for the participation of the players in the upcoming Eurobasket, it’s unclear if those issues are putting in doubt their presence in the official games for the upcoming FIBA World Cup qualifiers.
Gavin Schilling was called in the German national team just in case, since Niels Giffey will also miss the Supercup due to personal issues, but will join the team immediately afterward.
On the other hand, Gigi Datome will be back in action for Italy and the same applies to Nikola Milutinov and Marko Guduric, who rested in the recent games of the Serbian national team. Nemanja Bjelica on the other hand continues his race to be ready for the upcoming Eurobasket.
