Down to the bottom end of the international window and the last Gameday of the Qualifiers, four tickets will be punched in to complete the participating field of the EuroBasket 2025 on Sunday.

In addition to co-hosts Cyprus, Finland, Poland, and Latvia awarded an automatic berth, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Czechia, Estonia, France, Georgia, Great Britain, Greece, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, and Turkiye advanced through the Qualifiers.

Gameday 6 of Group D will decide on three of the remaining spots, following the meetings between Germany and Bulgaria in Bamberg, and Sweden and Montenegro in Stockholm on Sunday.

With one point separating the top from the bottom of the standings, a four-way tie at 3-3 is possible.

W-L PTS +/-
Germany 3-2 8 +56
Montenegro 3-2 8 +9
Sweden 2-3 7 -33
Bulgaria 2-3 7 -32

Despite apparent complications, Germany is in a strong position to progress, thanks to a 3-2 record combined with a positive margin of 56 points so far in the six-game double-legged round-robin schedule. The team coached by Alex Mumbru would clinch a berth with a win against Bulgaria or with a loss of up to 68 points. Regardless of the outcome of its own game, Montenegro potentially beating Sweden would also clinch a berth for Germany.

Meanwhile, Montenegro would advance with a win against Sweden or with a loss by a margin of 20 points or fewer.

Also, a German win eliminating Bulgaria would clinch a berth for Montenegro and Sweden.

Bulgaria, minus Sasha Vezenkov and Codi Miller-McIntyre, needs to beat Germany and Montenegro taking down Sweden to clinch a berth.

If Sweden and Bulgaria force a four-way tie at 3-3 with wins, the country with the worst overall point differential would be eliminated.

Iceland or Hungary will qualify through Group B.

The team coached by Craig Pedersen would clinch a berth with a win against Turkiye in Reykjavik or with Italy beating Hungary in Reggio Calabria.

On the following lane, Hungary needs a win and an Iceland loss to clinch a berth.

EuroBasket 2025
