Eli Ndiaye has stepped away from Spain’s national team training camp in Málaga due to discomfort in his left shoulder following a knock, the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) announced.
The 20-year-old forward, who recently signed with the Atlanta Hawks after leaving Real Madrid, will undergo medical tests to assess the extent of the injury.
As a precaution, the decision was made for him to leave the team and focus on recovery.
Ndiaye did not play in Spain’s narrow 74–76 loss to Portugal in their first EuroBasket warm-up game and won’t feature in the upcoming friendly against the Czech Republic.
